Axiliary Breast Tissue

I have been a mammographer for 15 years so have seen mammography evolve.  I have had several patients that have axliary breast tissue, some with nipples.  A few of these patients have had surgery to remove this tissue.  My question is would it be possible for these patients to develop breat cancer in this area?  I would presume so and am always very careful to include this tissue when taking the mammogram even if it means taking additional views.
Thank you for your time.

Dear mammo,  Breast cancer can develop in any area that has breast tissue.
