BIRAD Category 3 with unknown family History

Just had a mammogram and an ultrasound in the same day. report indicated  a category three with a dense heterogeneously dense parechymal pattern, limiting factor for the evaluation. I am 38 and don't know any of my family history. I had a fibroadenoma removed (was benign) when I was 30 and two cysts removed when I was 21     ( both benign). Now I have a multiple blilateral grossly simple cysts some solid nodules and some nodules probably benign with asymmetry....Should I be worried? I have never had normal mammogram ever!

I don't think I would be overly worried, especially with your past history of never having a completely normal Mammogram. The BIRADS 3 is only indicating that a shorter than normal (1 yr.) re-check is in order. This also makes perfect sense in light of your history. Perhaps after one short interval re-check you will go back to yearly Mammograms.   Regards ....
