Benign Lumps

Benign Lumps

At the age of 21, I've been getting random lumps underneath and/or on the sides of my breasts every 3-4 months. They'll stay for a couple of weeks, then they'll disappear. These lumps sometimes are small & painless, other times large, painful & tend to have a bloody pus-like discharge. I've had an appointments with my doctor as well as a cancer center specialist. I've had an x-ray & an ultrasound on my breasts & both said that the lumps were benign. Its been 3 years since those visits, I am now 26 & the lumps seem more "regular" (if you will). I have 2 that just won't go away where as before I would only have one & it would disappear for a few months before resurfacing. Older women tell me that they might be a sign that I'm taking in too much caffeine & that I should try Vitamin D with Calcium supplements, but the lumps still reappear in the same EXACT areas. Can someone PLEEEEASE tell me what could be the cause of these lumps & what can I do to FINALLY get rid of them?

Dear cbreeze1983:  Without evaluation, it is impossible to speculate on what these lumps may be.  If you are not getting any answers from your primary care doctor or breast surgeon, you may want to see a medical breast specialist. These are often affilitated with large academic medical centers.
