Biopsy @ 41 years old

I have a lump in my left breast (about an ince above my nipple)and sometimes a dull pain. I had an mamo and then an ultrasound mamo (which did not tell me anything) and now they are sending me for a biopsy. Does this mean that there is a good chance I have breast cancer? I am really scared about this.

No, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have breast cancer. It does mean that it isn't clear as to what this lump actually is ... so a biopsy is necessary to get the answer. A biopsy is the ONLY way to tell if a lump or suspicious area is benign or malignant. Breast cancer is rarely associated with pain. The waiting is always the worst ... it's something that we all must do to obtain a final answer.  Regards .....
