Blister on my breast

On the rim my left areola, there is something like a blister. Its the same color as my skin and looks like a flattened pus pimple. It isn't leaking any fluid. I am not breast feeding since my youngest child is 8yo. It is tender to touch and has a VERY small round ball underneath it. My thinking is that it may be some kind of inflammation or such. There have been times over the past few months where I made movements and it felt like my nipple was ripping. I always looked at it immediately and it was always fine. I noticed the blister 3 days ago.

I am mainly concerned because I have a family history of breast cancer. Also, I will not be able to get to a doctor for at least a week because I am living in an area that is in the middle of a big snowstorm. What could it be and what can I do to manage it in the meantime?

I don't think a weeks delay in seeing a Dr. will be of any signifcance but it would be impossible to advise as to any form of treatment in the meantime. You might treat it the same as you would if it were on any other part of your body. This doesn't sound like any typical symptom related to breast cancer but I think you would be wise to have it looked at when you can.    Regards ....
