Blood from nipples

My 32 year old daughter who had breast augmentation five years ago suddenly started to bleed from one nipple. She doesn`t remember injuring the nipple or breast. She is concerned that she has cancer. What are the chances that it is.

My daughter was in 5th or 6th grade when her breast started bleeding.  I took her to an OB/GYN and they said it was normal
when they are going through puberty.  She doesn't have it anymore.  She still is only having a couple menstral cycles a year though and she's in 9th grade.

Dear Motherhen, Bleeding from the nipple is a symptom that should be evaluated.  The cause of bleeding can be from benign conditions such as a papilloma (a wart-like growth in the duct of the breast), however, bleeding could also be a sign of malignancy - although this is rare.  It is best to have this further evaluated.
