Bloody discharge / milk ducts removal

I am 36 and I have had a bloody discharge from my right nipple for afew weeks and I have just had the
scan.  I have had the scan today and was told nothing obvious was showing up but if it continued by the end of september he wants to  remove the ducts from that breast. Will leave me with odd sized boobs?Is it needed( the procedure)? Will I look odd? He mentioned a possibility of losing the nipple. How likely is that? What would happen if I didn't get it done? Would they do the same to both breasts?

DO YOU HAVE CANCER...........ASK IF REMOVAL OF YOUR BREAST IS AN OPTION....I REMOVED BOTH OF MINE..I COULD OF HAD A LUMPECTOMY BUT WHEN I HEARD THAT I HAD CANCER I WANTED THE CANCER OUT.AND ITS A GOOD THING CAUSE THEY FOUND PRECANCEROUS CELLS IN THE OTHER BREAST...NONE OF IT SPREAD TO MY LYMPH NODES THANK GOD...I LOVE MY NEW BOOBS THEY DO A GREAT JOB TODAY....WHERE DO YOU LIVE...I'M FROM N.Y. Hi,

Noone has said its cancer. They said it was duct estasia (think I spelt it wrong) then they said they would be doing a biopsy at the same time.
They didn't seem to feel rushed about any of it - my next appointment is not until the end of september. (I live in England).
