Bone pain after reconstruction

Bone pain after reconstruction

Dr. Y  performed the reconstruction immediately following the Mastectomy on October 30, 1998. When I returned to C.C. for an exam after Surgery, I questioned the pain in my breastbone, and a large lump that appeared. He told me it was nothing, and after a few months the pain deminished. The same pain is back when I breath, or bend forward. Where does the mustle from my abdomen get attached to when they form the breast? Could this be the pain I felt and feel now? I'm getting worried again, because I recently broke my hand.

Dear dcarol: It is more likely that the pain you felt after your reconstruction was post-surgical pain.  It is unlikely that this is the reason for your pain now.  Your pain could be due to many factors. It is difficult, without reviewing your situation and conducting a physical examination, to determine the source of your pain.  If this pain continues for longer than a week, you might consider being evaluated by your doctor.
