Breask leakage

I have a light brown cyrstal like fluid that leaks ( one or two small drips) occasionally from my right breast, This morning I had a tiny spot of blood on my left breast.
I am 55 and have been type 1 diabetic for 33 years. There is no history of breast cancer in my family.
The initial focus of care has been on my right breast-mammogram and ultrasound.  In two weeks i have a consultation with a cancer surgeon.
Can you share information with me as to anyone's experience with these symptoms?

Spontaneous discharge from the breast may indicate the possibility of a malignancy and not all may be visible on a mammogram or ultrasound.  I had a discharge from one breast for almost two years before the doctors did anything about it.  At first the discharge was clear and then it turned to more of a "bloody brown" color.  It was then that the doctors decided to do a biopsy. I had had mammos every year and nothing was ever detected.   It ended up being DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) which is a cancer which is confined to the milk ducts.  My oncologist said that my doctors should have ordered an MRI when the discharge first appeared.  The DCIS did light up the MRI.  The prognosis for DCIS is excellent when treated.
