Breast Cancer Survival

I underwent Left Auchincloss Mastectomy on 29 th November 2006.I am going for regular checkup periodically.
I was not given Chemo therophy or Radtion after my Surgery, since the pathology report revealed my ER, PR is Positive and Her2 Neu is Negative. The Dr.told taking Anostrozole Tab-1 mg daily for 5 years is enough for my
problem.Memography taken on 25th february 2010 is normal. The Dr. has also examined and told No problem and advised to continue the Tab for one more year.My question is whether cancer may attack in any other parts of my body in future. Before surgery my breast cancer stage was T2 NO MO.How long normally a breast cancer patient may survive [Taking my case as an Example]

Evidently you had no lymph node involvement since you didn't receive either Chemo or Radiation. Once diagnosed with Breast Cancer there is always the chance that it may return and there is no definite way to tell when or if this might occur. Even with a recurrance you can live many years depending on what organs were involved, what treatment would be instituted and the response to that treatment. Wishing you continued good reports .....
