Breast Cancer and Soy Protein

The RN at my Medical Oncologist told me that I should no longer eat soy because I have had a lumpectomy.  However, I have read in other articles that Soy is good for preventing breast cancer.  Did she suggest I not eat soy because I have had breast cancer?  I know my tumor had estrogen receptors on it.  I really like soy and I am having difficulties finding a drink mix and protein bars that don't have soy in them.
