Breast Cancer at the age of 15???

I am a 15 year old with scaling over both my nipples and random clear liquid coming out of the nipple area. Sometimes my nipple might start bleeding a little bit. The scaling falls off after a while and then my nipples are back to normal but then the scaling returns and it itches at times. I'm not sure if its possible to get breast cancer at the age of 15 but I am a bit concerned. I've heard some people saying that it is possible to get breast cancer at 15 but according to my research the youngest you can get breast cancer is 22, so I'm not too sure anymore. (Off topic: I've also heard that it might be pregnancy symptoms, but I'm still a virgin so I'm not sure how that works.)

Maybe you have Fibrocystic breast tissue. Lumps disappear after a menstrual period. I doubt you have bc. If you can't discuss this with a parent, can you visit a school nurse?

As others before in this thread have mentioned, any concern about changes in your breast tissue should be talked over with your mom (or dad or guardian) in order to determine if a visit to the doctor is necessary.  In my opinion, a medical exam cannot hurt.  There is certainly no need to panic, but whatever it is that you are feeling is SOMETHING, and knowing what it is will allow you to treat it if necessary or at least not have to worry about it if you know it is nothing to worry about.  It seems very very very unlikely that what you have is cancer, but again, a visit to the doctor cannot hurt.  God bless...

At 15, it is highly unlikely that you have breast cancer...however it is not impossible.  I am not sure what research said 22 is the youngest you can be...that is definitely not true...I know of 17 year olds who have been diagnosed.  As KR62 suggests, you need to talk to your mom about this.  I would suggest a trip to a dermatologist to rule out skin infection or rashes or other irritations.  If that is not successful, then by all means ask your mom to make an appointment with a breast specialist.

Hi,
What you are describing need not be cancer for sure.
You need to get a clinical examination by a doctor for a confirmed diagnosis. It could be an allergic reaction or some skin infection. You need to keep the area clean, well moisturised, and apply calamine lotion. Wear lose clothes and see if that helps.
If the lesions are persistent, you need to consult your doctor. Also , do you have a family history of breast cancer?
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

I am not a doctor and cannot answer any of your specific questions. But, I am a mother and I just wanted to offer some advice. This sounds like a very scary time for you. Have you talked with your mother or another adult about this. Sounds like you should have an appointment made for you to get this checked out by a doctor. The internet and sites like this are great to ask questions, receive support and information, but it does not take the place of having a physical examination to figure out what is really going on. You sound like a very mature 15 year old, but trying to deal with this all alone is alot to take on. I hope you will talk to your mom and get an appointment sceduled. Good luck to you, I hope it all turns out fine.
