Breast Cancer

I took my sister (who has MS) to the doctor and found a lump in her breast.  She had a needle biopsy and was diagnosed with aggressive cancer.  The oncologist called it a "hard to treat", nasty type.  He also said he must find the enemy and treat it. The oncologist also found a lump in her neck.  She has been on thyroid replacement therapy for 20 years and was told years ago that she had a multinodule thyroid.  She will be going for a needle aspiration of the neck as well as cat scans.  Does it mean that there may be cancer somewhere else.  How is this aggressive cancer treated and the prognosis.  Thank you

Dear lexmark:  From what you describe, I am unable to provide much in the way of specifics.  We simply do not have enough information.  The lump in the neck could be concerning for a breast cancer that has spread or a second primary cancer or just a benign lump.  Without biopsy, it may be impossible to tell.  We cannot comment on prognosis without more information.
