6 years ago i had a lumpectomy i underwent chemo & radiation 5 years to the date my cancer came back close to the collar bone they scraped the bone and removed the muscles and took the left breast. i had to have skin graft over the wound because it wouldnt heal. a leasion appeared and they removed it. i was unable to have radiation because of it and i couldnt under go chemo because i had such a bad reaction to it. so they put me on femera since the tamoxafin didnt work. 6 months ago i had a bone scan it was clear the dr reciently ordered a chest xrat and blood work and bone scan the chest xray and blood work came back ok but the bone scan didnt they said there was deffinatly activity going on in there so they sent me for an mri and chest xray of the sternum i go see the dr for the results in a couple of days. my question is with my history is more than likely that i have cancer again and if so and its in the sternum what can be the possible treatments for it

Dear connie sue: Without reviewing your history, including the pathology, films (x-rays, scans, and CTs), it is not possible for us to speculate on the proper course of treatment. Your questions will be best answered by your oncologist who knows your history and the treatments you have had to date. If you are concerned you could also seek a second opinion to discuss options.
