Breast Cancer

I had a lumpectomy on 10/17/07.  The 4 cm. lump was infiltrating ductal carcinoma with marginal clear tissue.  I had a mastectomy on 11/1/07 with a sentinal lymph node biopsy.  The breast was clear of cancer and the sentinel node was benign.  I am ER/PR negative and HER2 positive.  The oncologist is suggesting 12 weeks of AC, 12 weeks of Taxol and 1 year of Herceptin.  He said this cancer is a Grade 3 and aggressive.  I am scheduled for a Muga scan and bone/ct scans next week.  Could the cancer have spread even though my sentinel node was benign?  Also, everything that I've read says HER2 positive has the worse prognosis.  What exactly does that mean?

Thanks so much for your reply.  I'm just scared and needed some reassurance.

Please do not panic.....HER2 positive is a common condition.....I have that label pinned on me but no one ever indicated that it was a doomsday prediction.
