Breast Changes any Suggestions

I'm a 20 yr old African American female, Over the last 2 yrs my right breast has become enlarged a "D" cup while my left is like a "B" cup.Also my areola on my right breast has become thick, with a small superficial knot while my left is normal.My complications are not related my my cycle because they never decrease in severity when im near my cycle or on it.My mother was diagnosed with fibrocyctic disease a while back and because of complication she had a breast reduction and hasnt had any problems.I dont know if i have this or not, but my doctor did recommend me to have a breast reduction because she thought my symptoms were related to just a skin condition (just my breast rubbing against my bra), but my bra does not cause me any problems and i dont feel like my bra rubs against me be I wear a bra that fit my larger breast.Also my right breast tissue is a lot harder than my left. Do you have any suggestions.

Hi there.

I believe this would warrant further evaluation and investigation by your doctor.  Though the incidence of breast cancer in your age group is rather low, this should still be ruled out given the breast changes you are having.  

Your doctor may request test such as  a mammogram or an ultrasound and also go as far as having a biopsy if the earlier tests are equivocal or non definitive.

The first step is showing this to your doctor and I believe it is about time you did so before things get too complicated.
