Breast Duct Papilloma procedure after sutures?

Breast Duct Papilloma procedure after sutures?

This is a follow up question to the kind response I received from my question about a possible non-cancerous cause for my bleeding nipple.  The technique my breast surgeon plans to employ in my biopsy is to remove a pie-piece shaped sample from my nipple and suture what remains.  Would this not indicate that he, in fact, strongly suspects that this is Paget's Disease?  Is it even possible to perform the Breast Duct Papilloma procedure with this type of biopsy?

Kindest Regards

Hi there.

I foresee that this biopsy procedure may not hinder future operations if ever a breast duct papilloma is indeed diagnosed.  He may do suspect Paget's disease from by ordering this biopsy, however we will never know for sure unless the pathologist examining the biopsy specimen tells us so.  Paget's disease usually presents with skin lesions of the nipple or eczematous lesions and less commonly with primary bleeding.

I hope the biopsy and the results will turn out fine.  Regards and God bless.
