Breast Lump found and breastfeeding

Hi.  Thank you in advance for you help.  I have a 6 month old baby and have been breastfeeding for the entire time. I went back to work 2 months ago and she has taken some bottles a day.  However, this past week I have been home and able feed her more than I had in the few months since I went back to work.  Today I was taking a shower and noticed a very round, movable, lump in my breast by the nipple.  I am worried and do not know what to do my MD is not open this week do to the holdiay.  I just was in to the OB for my yearly and in October and there were no lumps in my breast.  This is a big lump the size of a large pea.  Could this be beause I am producing more milk?  Or is it something more.

Dear rosie698:  Without evaluation, it is impossible for us to speculate on what this lump might be.  The general rule of thumb in the setting of a new lump is that it requires further evaluation.  We recommend that you call your doctor next week for evaluation.
