Breast Lump

by kristina814, Sep 22, 2009 06:55PM
I'm a 25yr old woman, and I had a incisional breast biopsy done on 11/02/08 because a breast lump was found but could not be detected on ultrasound or mammogram. The results were negative--however-- a year later, I have another lump in the same location. Is it normal/common for lumps to come back or for cysts to form?

Yes, cysts can continue to develop .... Fibrocystic Breast Condition affects about half of all women and these cysts are usually harmless except for the discomfort that they cause. They can be removed if they become very troublesome but more can always develop.  The same goes for Fibroadenomas which are benign breast tumors.  Regards ...
