Breast Lumps

Some People have told me that ALL movable lumps are not cancerous. Can that be true?

I do know that there has been some women tell me that they thought their lump felt movable to them and it turned otu to be cancer.

I'm very confused.

Dear Rushelle:  Lumps that move around when they are felt tend to be less suspicious and lumps that are fixed and do not move tend to be more suspicious but one cannot always be certain based only on palpation (feeling the lump).  If there is a lump and you are concerned, you should be seen by a physician who can do an examination (and has some experience with what he/she is feeling) and make recommendations for further evaluation if necessary.
