Breast MRI report ?

Does anyone know what ....
an approximately .6 x .5 x .4 cm of focus of rapid pathologic enhancement in the inner lower quadrant of the right breast means?  I now have to have a biopsy, and nobody really tells me what this means.

Dear jgoltz,  This is just the description of an abnormal finding on the MRI, that needs further evaluation (such as a biopsy) to determine what it is.  Keep in mind that a breast MRI frequently show abnormalities that turn out to be a benign (non-cancerous) changes.

Hi

Just curious to know what you found out.

Did your biopsy reveal anything for you?

I have to have a biopsy under ultrasound guidance for an 8mm cyst that was detected on an MRI I had done a couple of weeks ago.  The cyst/nodule didn't show up on the mammogram I had the first of June.  I had an ultrasound on this cyst/nodule and the radiologist wanted me to have a biopsy of the tissue just to be sure.  Due to my strong family history of BC, he wanted me to have the cyst biopsied.  He said I had a cyst with smaller cysts inside and that there was this area that wasn't clear on the ultrasound and he wanted to check the tissue out.  He said he felt like it was nothing, just cystic disease but worth doing a biopsy to be sure.

The MRI said I had an enhancing nodule as well and a high signal in that area.

Definitely let us know how things went for you and what your diagnosis was.

Thanks!
