I suffer from adrenalAddison’s disease Adrenal gland biopsy Adrenalectomy Catecholamines - blood insuffeciency. My adrenalAddison’s disease Adrenal gland biopsy Adrenalectomy Catecholamines - blood glands do not work anylonger because I was treated with very high doses of steroids when I had spinal menengitis four years ago. Because I have no adrenalAddison’s disease Adrenal gland biopsy Adrenalectomy Catecholamines - blood function I have to take steroids for the rest of my life or my body can not fight off infection and disease. Steroids have so many side effects. Some of the side effects that have attact me so far are: edema and weight gain, bone loss, bone necrosis in both kneesAnterior cruciate ligament (acl) injury Anterior knee pain Bursa of the knee Dermatitis, herpetiformis on the knee Knee arthroscopy Knee arthroscopy - series Knee joint replacement Knee joint replacement prosthesis Knee pain Kneecap dislocation Meniscus tears and one shoulder shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain, cataracts, just to mention a few. I wonder what role taking steroids have in breast cancer if any. Also if the steroids are a reason for this mass. I also have lipomasLipoma - arm. I have them all over my arms, sides, back, abdomen and thighs. My father has them also. I am told they very often can be heriditory. I had them even when I was my ideal weight of 125 lbs. I have had them all my life, as far back as I can remember. So I am hoping this is a lipoma also only it does not feel like one at all and my doctors that have felt the mass don't think so either. My doctors also do not think it is a cyst. I am not too worried as I know that most breast masses turn out to be benign and I have no family history of breast cancer at all. I also have very high triglicerides (triglycerides) (sp?) 494. Just found that out a couple of days ago. This is also heriditory as I eat a diet of yogert and fruit (that's it), oh and Diet Pepsi. So it is not my diet. I am constantly nausiated due to the adrenal problem so I only eat this and about one meal a week if I go out to lunch with my parents. Oh, and one more sad story to add, I became blind about 4 years ago. If I didnt have bad luck, I would have no luck at all. Now I have gotten off track. My concern is the steroids, adrenal function failure and lipoma with relation to this 3" long x 1/2 " wide and 2" deep. It feels hard, solid and oddly shaped. Any help out there would be appreciated. I go for the mammogram in 2 days. Thanks D
