Breast Pain

by Nubia05, Nov 07, 2009 12:01AM
Hi everyone,
I am 23 years old and for the past couple of  months I have experienced breast discomfort on both breast.  It isn't intense or interferes with my daily activities, but it worries me because it isn't something I had felt before.  I have been to several doctors and have had an ultrasound done on both breast, and the results came back normal.  I've also had blood work done to check my hormones and prolactin levels since I was having small amounts of milky discharge from both breast.  Those too came back normal, and there are no possibilities of being pregnant.  Recently I noticed enlarged flesh colored glands around my left nipple that I hadn't noticed before.  Is this something I should be concerned about?  Shall I seek other medical opinions?  The doctors say it is all normal, but I'm a little skeptical.

I think you should rely on your test results and the opinion of the Dr.s you have seen. There are glands around the nipple within the areola called Montgomeries Glands and these are normal. I think you have had all the tests that are available for the symptoms you describe but you can always seek another opinion if you wish.    Regards ....

Prevention is better than cure. Just read an article in breastcancer.dormitory. It mentions that Walking Can Decrease Breast Cancer Recurrence 40 Percent.I think not just walking but better sleep and regular sports also help to decrease the posibility of breast cancer. Share the article as following hope it will help:

When it comes to further minimizing the chance of breast cancer recurrence, Dr. Carolyn Kaelin, a Harvard surgeon, breast cancer survivor and author of The Breast Cancer Survivor's Fitness Plan, says, "Brisk walking - about 3.0 mph on a treadmill - for three to five hours per week, or about 30 minutes a day, can net big benefits
for breast cancer survivors.
