Breast Pain

About a month ago I started getting little pea size lumps under my armpits.  They were painful and would go away after about a week. Then in a couple of weeks I would get another.  3x so far.  Now my breast for the last week or two has had shooting pain by the nipple.  And if I squeeze the nipple clear fluid comes out.  The pain has been getting worse and worse and the nipple appears purple at times.  I have breast implants under the muscle.

What could this be?

Well the lumps and pain could be due to various causes - infectice causes could cause pain and swelling of the lymph nodes: shaving, waxing etc; even hormonal fluctuations as during menstrual cycles could cause pain and lumpiness in the breast tissue; Fibroadenoma could be the cause which varies in size with the menstrual cycles, etc.

A proper clinical examination and relevant investigations are required before a confirmed diagnosis can be made and furtehr treatment plan decided.

Some nipple discharge is common in response to squeezing of the nipples and should not be a cause of concern.

Try some OTC pain relief medications, breast massage, breast exercises and local application of analgesic for the pain.
