Breast Path Report

I am understanding bits and pieces.  SO, the cancer was ductal insitu and invasive as well as lobular insitu and invasive.  This is important to me so that I can make a  decision on the contralateral breast.  I f indeed lobular invasive I understand the increased risk of where this takes me and I will most likely have another mastectomy.

Dear swillis13:  We're not really sure what you are asking in this post.  As we stated in our prior answer this path report states that there is invasive cancer with mixed ductal as well as lobular features.  In other words the features of the invasive cancer are both ductal and lobular.  If you are using this information to make clinical decisions you may be best advised to discuss the pathology specifically with your doctor so that this can be clarified and you can make the best decision possible.
