I just had a wire localization biopsy done for some calcifications that were very small but had changed shape since last year. After the procedure the Dr. told my familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources that everything looked great but of course had to wait for biopsy. Of course we all know the percentages (95% come back normalNormal saline flush). He called yesterday and said that one of the cells had come back as starting to turn malignantCancer Gestational trophoblastic disease Lymphoma, malignant - ct scan Malignant melanoma Malignant otitis externa Melanoma of the eye Multiple myeloma Skin cancer, malignant melanoma and that they arranged for me to have a bilateral MRI of both breasts Monday a.m. and on Tuesday afternoon to come to his office with my husband. Of course thru this whole conversation assured me that everything was fine and not to worry that because I go routinely that we had caught it very early. What if anything should I be preparing myself for? Did anyone have a similar situation. I'm thinking that he's taking a very proactive approach and probably going to suggest the new oral chemo drug. I don't know how I feel and probably won't until Tuesday I just know when they tell you not to come alone that's not usually a good sign. What are the side effects of this tamoxin (not sure of spelling)? Just looking for advice my mind is racing a mile a minute. Appreciate any input. Thank you.
I've been in a similar situation...try not to worry and just breathe. I had no probs with the wire localization nor the excisional biopsy. Nothing to worry about, all painless and it's good that your doc is pro-active. Hope today goes well.
