Breast cancer & Arimidex

Been on Arimidex 26 months. Having numbness in hands and feet. Oncologist doesn't think it's related to Arimidex. Anyone have this problem while on this drug?

I was on Arimidex for 6 years & tolerated well. BUT I also have rheumatoid arthitis that is controlled with diet & exercise.  The first 10 days of treatment  my RA flared.
RA symtoms can make ankles feel like being squeezed with wide rubberband. Inflammation in joints makes fluid buildup; I had good results with both glucosamin sulfate and curcumin. I also eliminated common aggravators such as wheat, citrus foods. corn, beef, pork, sugar, alcohol ,
shell fish---
Also check your digestive system: if pancreas not functioning, neuropathy is a common side effect. Most chemo agents cause neuropathy.

I would seem odd to have this type of reaction since you've been on Arimidex for over 2 years but I suppose anything is possible. Since the Oncologist thinks your symptoms may be caused by something other than the drug you might want to ck. with a Neurologist regarding this numbness OR perhaps an Internist, since this may even be a circulatory issue.Sounds like it's going to be a process of elimination in order to find the cause.   Regards ....
