Breast cancer and electrical pains? Any relation?

Ok so I'm in my late teens. I'm about five feet four inches tall with a weight of about 114lbs. I've always been healthy. The only medical problem I have ever had was a bladder infection that I got rid of. I don't drink or smoke. When I was six years old my mother died of breast cancer. She was a smoker. Her sister is currently a breast cancer survivor. I am well aware that there is a possibility that I have may have the trait for this disease. I don't know how much pain is involved in the early stages of the disease but lately I feel pains in my breast like electricity. Usually it doesn't more than a minute or two. When I squeeze my breast it takes some of the pain away. These pains happen at random moments I don't know what triggers it. When I do a self examination on myself I don't find any lumps or anything out of the ordinary and neither does my physician. Is this electrical pain any relation to breast cancer?

When your doctor examined you did he tell you what could possibly be the cause of the pain you are experiencing? At your age, hormonal changes in your body often causes pain especially around your menstrual cycles.Sorry to know that your mom died of breast cancer when you were so young..but this doesn't mean that you will also develop breast cancer.Certainly you have to be vigilant about any changes in your breasts since you have a family history and you are somewhat at a higher risk. I commend you for having your breast checked out by your physician.Pain is rarely felt when one has cancer and since you and your doctor don't feel any lumps, I don't think that it's something to really be worried about, but if you are concerned you can always ask your doctor for an Ultrasound test to better evaluate your condition. Take care.
