Breast cancer

Iam a 42 yr old female who 10 years ago had 4 fibro tumors removed from her right breast.  In the past two years I had 3 moles removed and all were PRE-cancerous.  I have been anemic for as many years as I can remember.  I just went for my physical and my doctor found a lump on my thryoid. I went and had a sonogram and was told it was a 3mm nodule, my chest x-rays came up clear with no indication of lung or heart disease.  My mamo was compared to one I had done in 1996 and was told NO ADVERSE CHANGES and no signs of malignancies.  However, I have very dense breasts and have to go for a breast sonography. My bloodtests all came back within normal ranges except my globulin showed 3.9 with lab showing normal ranges of 1.1-3.7 and A/G ratio low of 1.1 lab showing 1.1-2.1.  What I want to know is this.  Because of previous PRE-Cancerous moles, previous fibro tumors and now dense breasts and a nodule in my thyroid should I be OVERLY CONCERNED about cancer throughout my body?  I must admit Im very nervous about your answer, however, I must know.  Please if you can help me, hopefully put my mind at ease since my bloodtests seem to be ok or if there is something I can do PREVENTIVELY such as PolyMVA which I recently read about I would appreciate it.  Thank you in advance.

Dear DeeDeeMarie, From what you describe there is nothing that would be suspicous that you have cancer throughout your body.  Regarding the nodule on the thyroid you would want to follow-up with recommendations based on the evaluation.  Moles usually refer to skin conditions, discuss with your doctor the particulars of this, what follow-up is needed - for example, thorough skin screening by a dermatologist, evaluation of any suspicious moles.

None of the things you describe are likely related: meaning you have a lot of things on your plate to worry about, but they don't add up to a reason to think there's cancer all over the place. Use sun block. Have your thyroid and breasts followed regularly. It doesn't sound like you have more risk than the average person.
