Breast cyst

I have pain and a breast cyst status/post sev yrs ductal excional left breast, should I be concerned?

Hi,
A breast cyst can develop at any time,but with so little information that you have given,I don't know if you had some type of test done to determine if this lump is indeed a cyst.

Normally pain is not associated with breast cancer,but I would urge you to see your doctor for a breast exam just to make sure about the nature of this lump.
Cysts are benign lumps and are usually left alone,but if they become too enlarged or painful,the doctor can aspirate it with a fine needle.

In the meantime,to lessen the pain,try to avoid caffeine (Cola,chocolate,coffee ect..)
Please see your doctor soon,any lump in the breast should be always checked out.
