Breast density

a year ago i had a mammogram that was ok this year they want me to return for an ultra sound of my left breast re: breast density could that mean i could have cancer?

Breast density doesn't mean Cancer. But, what it could mean is that you may have Fibrocystic breasts, which would make the viewing and interpretation of a mammogram more difficult... hence, the ultrasound... which would produce a different kind of diagnostic image of your breast(s).
