Breast lump still same after 15 yrs

My Dr. found a lump in my Left breast below my nipple in 1995. Also in I believe it was 1995 I found under my left under arm a red painful bump, I went back to the dr. I explained to him I shave my under arms daily and immediately out of the shower I put on lotion and deoderant. He checked it thoroughly, knowing I was not comfortable he sent me to a Dr. that as he put it "feels breasts all day" I made the appt. and the Dr. never looked at the lump in my breast but did check my under arm thoroughly. It was painful he dug and dug deep and felt the not and thought it to be a swollen "infected" sweat gland. I was told to do the hot compresses I did this Day and night, I was told not to wear spray deoderant, but this is the only deoderant that keeps me fresh and semi dry, the bump smoothed out just turned to a longer inflated area not red nor painful now it is 2008 the little area is still there without pain, I am assuming Dr. was right, an infected swollen sweat gland. In 2003 I noticed a little area below this risen area, thinking it is an ingrown hair no pain just a little area without color now looks elongated feels like a tendon long and narrrow maybe 3 inches long is this part of the infected sweat gland or something else? Wow look what the 40's bring you, worry after worry after worry! Could this be hormonal? Any information is appreciated!

One last thing I forgot to mention, when I spot it is only mid cycle which given the information above is day 14-18 I do not spot on each day just a couple. I usually have pain in the lower front and back area and breast soreness follows. One in a while not too often with sex I feel dry.
Thank you!

Thank you! I also thought if the breast lump was cancer I would have been long gone.... My main concern is the elongated area. Could this be part of the infected sweat gland? I quit using spray deoderants for years and just last year started using them again, back to my old favorite. Should I stop? I am 44 yrs old and consider myself perimenopausal. I have spotting between my periods, never had children by choice and never taken birth control of any type, too paranoid of side effects. I do have a lot of peri symptoms, irritable, forgetful, moody, cry drop of a hat at times, and increase in coarse facial hair, not like a man but just not like a woman. If that makes sense! I get bouts of lighheadedness as well. I have my periods every 34 days for 6 days only really 2 the rest is not enough to complain. My first symptoms were the spotting between periods. How long does this peri process take? Is there anything I can do NATURALLY? for any symptoms addressed?
Thank you!

Dear sofea:  Without evaluation, it is impossible for us to speculate on what this might be.  There are many possible explanations.  If this has been there since 1995, it is unlikely to be cancer.  However, if you are concerned, you should have it evaluated by your doctor or a breast specialist – these are often affiliated with large medical centers.
