Breast lumps soreness

For the last 4 months I have been experiencing very uncomfortable tenderness, almost brusing feeling on the right side of my rigtht breast.  it was occuring about 1 1/2 weeks before my cycle.  Befor this started I had an irregular cycle spotting mid-cycle, which I have never experienced in my life before.  Then the tenderness before the cycle, and now the tenderness continues past my cycle.  I have had an ultrasound and a mamogram (mammogram) done with no results as yet.  The soreness is bothersome and the side of my breast is thick and somewhat hard.  Is this just a normal hormonal change for me at almost 42 years of age?  Signed concerned.

I think you would be well advised to await the results of your Mammogram and ultrasound. It's impossible to speculate over the internet as to the cause of the symptoms you describe. I'm sure your Dr. will explain the reports to you in detail and you can go from there with whatever is recommended.  Regards ..
