Breast lumps

I hope any doctor or someone else can help reassure me! I had a breast ultrasound Aug.10 and the report as follows.
Multiple solid and cystic nodules, I had 4 solid nodules each presenting non -aggressive features, wider than tall, well-marginated, and each measuring 7-6 mm . At the 9 oclock postion there was a tiny indeterminate nodule that was somewhat irregular so a recommended 6 month followup . Interpretation is Fibroadenomas. Birads cat 3

Today's Feb.4/11 Ultrasound as follows.
Multiple small scattered solid nodules which are hypoecoic. The largest at
3 o'clock is 7 mm. the previously noted nodule at 9 o'clock position is no longer definitley seen. All visible nodules appear stable and there are fewer cysts in breast. In the left axilla there is a small hypoechoic nodule measuring 4-6mm possibly a lymph node but a echogenic hilum is not seen. Followup 6 months . Birads cat 3. Probable lymph node.

So I am nervous, given the whole breast cancer, lymph nodes in axilla etc . The day after my ultrasound I have come down with a cold/cough, slight fever. Could this be related at all or do I have a suspicous mass in my axilla. Also what does hypoechoic and echogenic mean?
Any help appreciated!!

Thank you. I just wasn't sure what these terms meant, if they suggested an abnormal lymph node or not.
kind regards

Continued follow-up as recommended is certainly advised as stated in all reports. Hypochoic means that less than expected sound waves are reflected by the area/nodule, etc. Echogenic means that the area/nodule,etc. might be able to reflect increased sound waves and could be "seen" well on Ultrasound. This is (according to the report) is NOT the case with the lymphnode in the axillary area. A lymphnode in itself is not of any particular concern ... they can become enlarged for a variety of reasons and may never return to their "normal" size. Lymph nodes do become enlarged when there is any type of infection somewhere in the body; this is their function. From the report I read that you have multiple cysts which may come and go and vary in size; fibroadenomas are also present (very small) and both of these findings are benign. I see it is recommended for follow-ups to ck. on the stability of these findings which is normal under such circumstances.   Regards ....
