Breast nipple

I am 60 years old and I am on hormone replacement therapy. A year or so ago, I tried doing without the medication and found that my hot flashes were unbearable, not to mention my doctors concern regarding my bone loss, so I am still taking the Estrogin and Medroprogesteron....My concern is that I recently noticed a white spot directly in the middle of one of my breast nipples....Can this be an indication of breast cancer?

Dear mem2, It is hard to say, most likely not.  However, in general, if you have noticed a change in your breast exam, and it is not going away on it's own you should check it out with your doctor to evaluate.

It's not particularly worrisome for cancer; however, any new finding that doesn't go away must be evaluated.
