Burning sensation in my breast!

My left breast has been really "burning" the past two days.  My breasts have always been sort of 'lumpy" and I have a cluster of cysts in my right breast, but this is my left.  (Previously when I thought I felt something, there was nothing there... based on Dr. exam and mammo.)  The cysts have not caused any problems and it was actually caught on a routine mammo.  I do not have any nipple discharge and my breast does not appear to be swollen.  Most of the pain is on the outside and down to the bottom, although there is some tenderness toward the nipple.  I currently do not have insurance, so I can't really afford to go have a mammo...  :(  I no longer have a cycle (I haven't really had one for the past 5-6 years.  I just turned 50.)  It doesn't feel anything like the tenderness that occurs when you ovulate and I cannot become pregnant.  I have never felt anything like this before.  Help!!

Thank you!  I know that is true, but it is so difficult to think of the bills that will come with it.  This pain though is only in my left breast... and like I said, it is more of a burning than a "pain".  I hadn't really heard of this before, so I thought I would check in here.

Also, one other thing I forgot to mention is that I have a tumor disease, called Dercum's Disease (they are fibroid encapsulated fatty tumors, but they can become inflamed, as they have blood vessels running to them.  They don't know the cause of this disease and there is currently no treatment or cure for it.  It can be painful, but I haven't experienced any "burning" sensation with those that I do have (which are literally hundreds).  That is another thing that makes it hard to determine what to do.

Thank you for your response!

Blessings to you!

I think at the very least, insurance or not, you should see your Dr. about this .... this type of pain, especially when it involves both breasts, wouldn't really be an indication of Breast Cancer. It very well may be due to the cystic condition you mentioned.   Regards ...
