Burning sensation in my breast

by PLB81, Mar 04, 2009 08:30PM
I am 27 years old and I stopped taking birth control pills about six months ago as I am thinking of starting a family with my husband. About a week and a half ago I started feeling a "hot" sensation in my left breast. If I move a certain way or bump it I feel a sharp, burning pain on the outside of my breast which is so painful it takes my breath away. I tried loosening my bra and and being careful not to bump it but it isn't helping.  I am due for my cycle next week in about 6 days... could this be the issue?  I did a self exam and found nothing but I had a friend of mine check (she is a good friend!) and she said it feels lumpy.  Should I be concerned?

if its before ur period it could be normal to feel lumpy. a hot feeling is often a sign of an infection, does it look red at all? maybe may a docs appt for after ur period and if its no better go and get it checkd out.
