CYSTS

My friend as got 12 cysts in one breast and 6 in the other one. She is in a lot of pain and waiting to see a breast specialist. Can anyone help.

Cysts are no particular cause for concern ... I'm not sure how your friend knows these are cysts since she hasn't seen a breast specialist yet. Fibrocystic Breast Condition is not unusual by any means and is a rather painful condition. Cysts can be removed if they are very large or painful but will no doubt recur in time. This condition is associated with the hormone levels in the body. A person can certainly take some over the counter pain medication just as they would for discomfort in any other part of the body. it is often recommended that one reduce the intake of caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate) as this can be of some help. I'm sure the breast specialist will have more advice to help you friend with this problem.    Regards .....
