I'm 43 and have been diagnosed with DCIS with Pleomorphic Calcifications. Unfortunately since my breast are so large and have so many calification we chose a simple mastectomyMastectomy Mastectomy - series with reconstruction. I wish it was just a lumpectomy.
But my mind is crowded with thoughts in the morning. I wish I could stop this procedure from renting space in my head!!
I'm sorry to hear you are facing surgery for DCIS and many calcifictions.( Did I understand correctly that you have not yet had your mastectomy?) It is entirely natural to be preoccupied with such a major development.
