Can ovarian cysts cause breast cysts/flare-ups or is it hormones?

I have a question about a small pimple I had in my left breast. I had this flair up right after my son was born nearly 6 years ago. It went away. Recent it has come back (it popped like a pimple but seems to be taking forever to go this time). I am concerned because recently my gyno found a cyst in my left ovary. That is being watched. I will go back in a few weeks for a sono again and once I have my period, I am going on the pill starting this month. I've had a blood test and my CA25(?) test was fine. Anyhow, I am concerned as my hormones have been going nuts the last few months. I'm 38 and trying like heck to get healthy. I am overweight but working on eating right and exercising daily. This breast cyst/pimple has me upset but who do I see? I have a physical booked with a gp in a week and a half. Getting an appointment with my gyno is really hard. (I go back April 1). What do you suggest? Can this come from hormones? How long should it take to heal and go away if it is just a pimple? I have been super stressed over gyno problems and just scared of more troubles....thanks for any and all advice.

Dear 38deedee:  The two problems you describe sound like separate issues.  If this is a pimple, it should be getting better within a week or two weeks - as long as it is not getting re-irritated.  Of course, there are lots of possible explanations for this irritation.  Point this out to your GP.  If he/she is concerned, you could be referred to a breast specialist.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to the gp tonight. I think it may be an infection because there is another small cluster of bumps.
