Cluster of Microcalcifications that are BENIGN

Hi everyone!!!
I want to tell you all a story that will bring hope to those of you searching on here for answers. My Mom, who is a BC survivor had a mammo in her remaining breast in August, and some Microcalcifications were on there. The radiologist deemed them "probably benign," and advised her to come in six months. She actually went in eight months, and they got her all upset, stating there were "changes," because two new calcifications appeared. They recommended a stereotactic biopsy. They told her they wanted to be extra careful with her because she is a BC survivor. My Mom talked to her PCP, who she has been with for years, and he advised her he thought they were benign, and she was fine waiting another six months to see.  My Mom didn't want to wait the six months, so she booked the appt for the biopsy. I was beyond stressed because my Mom is my best friend, and I hoped and prayed everything would be B9.  She had the biopsy on May 26, and because of the holiday weekend, told her most likely she wouldn't hear until Wednesday of the next week. Well the waiting was literally making me sick. When someone close to you has to have a biopsy, it's a scary thing. My Mom, true to form, handled everything with such class, and didn't even act stressed. It was ME that was the mess. Well finally, May 31st, they called her with the results...B9!!!  Thank GOD!!
I promised myself that if everything was ok, I would post this to share our story because all you hear about are results that aren't good. This page with some of the posts of people with B9 results kept me sane when I was terrified, so I hope this would inspire some of you. Maybe you have microcalcifications, and maybe you have to have a biopsy...keep in mind they don't have to be something bad!!!  They could be B9 and MANY of them are!!!  Like I said, I promised I would share our story to bring hope to those who stress. My Mom is my biggest inspiration and if I could be half the woman she is, I would be happy!!
So ladies, stay strong and God bless everyone of you who read this, and may your results be "fine and B9!!!"
