Concern

This is my first time to this site. Six months ago i had a mamogram (mammogram),  My Doctor call me in the office and recommend that i take another mamogram (mammogram). I was told not to be conern but there was a mass that need to be chacked out Could some body help me.

Hi, first of all I would advise you not to panic.It is very normal to have a second mammogram to make sure that everything is okay.Your doctor might also ask you to have an ultrasound and, if necessary a biopsy.These are procedures that are important to go through when a mass is detected.If your doctor opts for a biopsy,have it done, since this is the only way to know what this mass is.I want to reassure you that 80% of lumps being biopsied are found to be benign,so please stay calm and be positive about the outcome.I too was in your same position,and being anxious doesn't help.I wish you well and good luck.
