Coral Calcium

I have read that cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment.  Is there any truth to that?  Thank you.

Dear Marille, When we are talking about acid and base (alkaline) environment of the body there is a certain balance that is maintained by our bodies in order for the body to function at it's optimal capacity.  So many things in our bodies interact to maintain this balance (our breathing for example).  Cells adapt to a different environment acid or alkaline.  For example cells in the stomach lining can survive the acid environment of the stomach.  In general any cell that is out of its optimal environment would need to adapt or not survive.

You title your comments Coral Calcium, I tried to find some information regarding this, but was only able to find information as part of advertisements, nothing objective as to the mechanism of action or how this is supposed to work.

I have been taking Coral Calcium for 6 months but only because I was looking for a better calcium absorbsion rate.  I just had a bone density scan in Sept and I was normal... whether the coral calcium helps or not I don't know.

According to the promoters, the calcium is like a TUMS in that it neutralizes some of the acidity in your body.  However, I'm not sure I believe all their claims.  Like I said, I'm looking for the calcium for its own sake.
