Cryoablation for Fibroadenomas

by jm5300, Jul 28, 2009 10:02AM
I have multiple fibroadenomas and my doctor wants me to have one removed since it continues to grow. I have had a fibroadenoma surgically removed in the past but I don't want to go through surgery again. She suggests cryoablation but she has not found any center that will perform this procedure on a fibroadenoma. Has anyone had this done or knows a center that will treat a fibroadenoma?

I have had no personal experience with this method although I know that it is available. You might have to search over a great distance to find an institution that does this procedure. Surgical removal is not that difficult and I don't think I would spend too much time looking for another method.  Good Luck ....
