Cryoablation

Hi!
I have a fibroadenoma that has grown from 3 to 5 cm in the last 8 months, very hard and smooth. The doctors in Norway want to remove it surgically. The doctors tell me it will leave a big scar and a big indentation in my breast. Cryoblation, if possible, sounds like it would be much better. Does anyone know where I could have this procedure done in Europe?

The only suggestion I have would be to get on the internet and search for breast centers that are doing Cryoablation at this time, There are advantages such as being done under local anesthesia, smaller incision resulting in less scarring but you would need to find an institution that is experienced in doing this procedure.   Good Luck

Thanks, but I've tried the internet without luck - all the ones i can find online are in the States... There must be someone in Europe somewhere  - but how do I find them?

You might contact one of the larger institutions in the U.S. and ask there (M.D.Anderson in Texas or Johns Hopkins come to mind).... they would know what's going on in Europe; at least I would think they would. Are you that opposed to the standard surgical intervention ?? If after several months the scarring is unbearable there is always plastic surgery. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.  Best Wishes in your search .....
