DO I HAVE CANCER?

Earlier today, I noticed a sensitivity at my rt underarm.  It is now a few hours later and the sensation has increased and I feel a lump.  I am not sure if nausea has anything to do with it.  Maybe it was too much birthday cake.  Now, I am completely freaked out...because when I type underarm lump pain into my search engine...breast cancer comes up.  Could I possibly have breast cancer?  I have also had a very bad cold that I can not shake, could this be in relation?

Hi,

How old are you? Since how long have you noticed the lumps?

Underarm lumps are axillary lymph nodes which could be enlarged secondary to infection or even trauma and in rare cases due to malignancy. They are usually enlarged when a new deodorant is used, after shaving or waxing the underarm area.

Have you got an ultrasound done as yet and have you got a clinical examination got done by a physician? This would help in coming to a confirmed diagnosis.

Let us know if you have any more doubts and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Let us know about the mammogram report too.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

I can only advice you to talk to your GP and if he's concerned or if you are more concerned do some tests, like a mammogram.
