Therefore, additional views are taken to visualise thee breast tissue, also to specifically focus on any suspicious appearing region.
A USG is a better diagnostic modality in females with dense breast tissue and usually is successful in picking up lesions missed on mammography.
MRI is another option available which can help identify and diagnose underlying lesions in females with dense breast tissue.
Discuss with your physician what would be a better option for you - a USG or an MRI.
