Diagnosed with PCOS and trying to conceive

by faiza_t, May 23, 2007 12:00AM
Hi, Im age 22 and I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS, married for 3 years and trying to conceive.  The doc has put me on metformin 2tabs/day and has asked me to undergo laproscropy.  Is it important to get that done? I have already tried taking metformin, gynaecosid, clomid, folic acid.  This month i started taking folic acid, i took gynaecosid and expecting my period soon, i will take clomid on my 5th day.

I also work out on the treadmill sometimes and briskwalk/jog upto 5 kms, it's been 4 months since i last got my period naturally.  That is why i took gynaecosid this month.  I have put on alot of weight cuz of this i used to be 55 kgs, and now i weigh 80 kgs.

Any more suggestions from anyone?

(P.S. What i know abt laproscropy is that it is just to further diagnose, not to remove the cysts)
