My Sis's Mammagram and UltraSound ? showed ' dilated ducts'; Technican stated that "sometimes
that develops Cysts OR TUMORS ? ; MY QUESTION: Have you, or someone you know, had this problem (have/ had Dilated ducts and were your results after needle biopsy --- positive Or negative ---for Cancer? Thanks for any replies; her biopsies, both breasts, is scheduled for Nov. 27, 2007.

Dilated ducts could be both benign or precancerous lesions. Rightly said these could also develop into cysts. A biopsy is the definitive approach and is a safe procedure. The results of the biopsy and a discussion with your physician should put you in a better light of the situation. Once the biopsy results arrive do discuss the further management plan in detail with your treating physician. Goodluck.
