Hi. Do I exercise when drain tubes are still draining after masectomy??? I have been walking on threadmill and drain tube is still draining 1 month after surgery!!!! Please help- I need to know w/ to do to stop drainage & get tube out!
The drainage won't stop until the surfaces have "stuck" together and there is no void to be filled with fluid. Drains are usually out before a month post-op. You might ck. with your Surgeon about how much exercise you should be doing. I wouldn't think what you describe would have any effect on it though. One of mine had to be replaced after removal because of fluid accumulation but only for about a week. Regards ....
